Keever Vineyards Merlot

This is very much a Cabernet-lover’s Merlot. There are plenty of tannins and the fruit is very dark, but it seemed to be missing some of the alluring juiciness that really great Merlot can bring. Best with a nice steak.

This is a beautiful wine. Deep purple and opaque with long legs. Little rim variation. Heavy staining and tearing. The nose is powerful and developing. Rich floral notes with lilac and white flowers. The fruit is predominantly red with strawberries and cherries and dark currant. The is consistent but more biased to dark fruit.
