Consistent with prior bottles. The deep and penetrating dark fruit is intense, with berry pie emerging on the finish. There is acid and verve for balance but could be more sharply defined. Not fully harmonious. Lots of tannins here still.

Impressive P&P with no decant. Lush fruit forward with a brooding seriousness behind; racy acids, expansive midpalate, a light tannic bite, glowing finish. Couldn't ask for more in a wine of this price. Ancient vines are magical.
