Perhaps it was the Aubert CIX and the Clos des Mouches served alongside this but it did not show well. It has a nice floral nose and bright cherries on the palate, but it was rustic in comparison to the more sophisticated Pinots

Translucent ruby. Rose petal and dust on the nose. Palate leads with strawberry jam and dried sour cherries for an old-world feel. Medium-bodied, elegant and seamless. Slightly spicy mineral finish. Delicious wine with lots of time left.

Nice nose of raspberry with touch of mint. On first taste, primary fruit is raspberry with touch of Earl Grey tea and sandalwood. Compared to the NSG from yesterday, more fruit forward with raspberry popping even more with time. Both my wife and I preferred the NSG as more balanced and restrained, but this an enjoyable wine.

Maintaining my 95 score of this from last year, but this took a while after opening to reach that level. Once it fully opened (around the 4 hour mark) this really sang. Before then, it was still beautiful strawberry and minerals (and color) but missed the electronic complexity that makes this a 95. 2 hr decant in Amadeo / Riedel Performance Pinot glasses

My first time tasting a Zephirine from Rose Rock. I have tasted the estate recently and I enjoyed it. I popped and poured, and then I began frowning. On evening one it was a jammy fruit bomb. I thought that I was drinking Cherry Coke. On evening two the wine had mellowed considerably. It is a very nice, very Burgundian like Pinot. Is it worth $59 a bottle? $45 would be better.

Previous notes apply. And after day 2, similarly to the last bottle of 2021, this seemed to fade in 24 hours. Maybe it's structure? Maybe it's the Pinot Noir ageability wave doldrums after a couple of years? Who knows. But, it's definitely different after a day of air... So be aware. Personally, in order of deliciousness, I enjoyed the 2018, 2019, 2021. But, I will buy a case of this wine annually. It's freaking delicious! PS- Drink The Rainbow!

Featured at a Comparative Tasting at Dom. Drouhin Oregon. Aged 16 months in (25% new) French Oak. This is another best barrel selection but from the Roserock estate vineyards. Medium garnet color. Slightly creamy, rich and pretty forward and open for its age. Strawberry, cherry, minerals and light spice make this nicely complex. Balanced with bright acidity but modest tannin. Fairly long finish. Tasty for such youthful wine.

Impressions were that the nose was unimpressive, the body was medium+, the acid was medium-, the tannins were subdued, the structure was minimal, the fruit was forward. Soft mouth feel.
