Not much difference from previous bottles although perhaps it had lost a little of its upfront fruit - decent but lacked real excitement - I would say drink up soonish

At the top end of "good" as the score suggests - the 2011 vintage for NZ SB lokks like it was a very good one - the wines I have sampled all have the usual greenery character but in a less overtly acidic fashion - maybe this was a result of the very high yields seen in 2011 - not quite the norm for NZ but very nice anyway

cat's pee herbaceous on the nose but somewhat less aggressive on the palate - this is a decent and very typical NZ SB but nothing that pushes it into the higher echelons

Good buy, but not the best. Better than Crawford, not as good as Astrolabe. Had a bit of an onion-skin or bitter pith edge to it. Nice passionfruit and grapefruit notes though. Good with cheese plate. Summer wine.

Superb sauvignon. Full flavoured yet quite restrained, not too acidic. Very smooth, delightful finish.
