Dusty smoky notes. Black cherry. This seems off. Maybe it is just me automatically dismissing any 2020. I’ve suffered through too many lousy wines from this vintage. Some floral notes but it is clipped.

Tasted after 45 minutes of air. Big hit of black cherry fruit and cassis. Medium plus acid. Moderate tannins. Good persistence on the palate. Very nice.

One hour decant. Beautiful rich crimson color. The nose is dark berries, cocoa, herbs with mineral and earthy notes. The palate pops with lush ripe dark berries, graphite and herbal notes. Tannins are ripe and velvety with balanced acid and a long finish. Really nice now and for many years to come.
