Karl Schaefer Dürkheimer Michelsberg Riesling Großes Gewächs

Light golden colour. On the first day, the nose is dominated by wood that is quite interesting. On the second day, it has shut down completely. You still smell the wood barrel, but also some prunes (?), a slightly nutty tone and also some nail polish. On the palate, this is quite generous with a nice citrussy acidity and lemon as well as mango fruit. It's dry, but not extra brut. Long finish. I think this will open up again …
