David Duband Chambolle-Musigny

Interesting...the nose is very gamay-like, more floral and vegetable than fruit; color is starting to show some brown tint on the rim; palate is developing secondary and tertiary notes; fruit is fading and it feels like it might have passed its peak. Finish is rather short, but the wine is still pretty nice

Medium full nose of iron-filled red cherry, cooked mushroom and herbs. Good pure red fruits are moderately concentrated. Nice savory qualities throughout and especially in the finish. Harmonious and ready, though this should hold for 5-10 years.

Good cork pull but about 3/4 infiltrated but not degraded. Legs ran fast and fat. 1st day the wine was subdued, muted, and not giving up much but the true pinot noir grape flavor. Was soft and easy to drink and a bit bitter on the finish. very transparent and no one aspect overshadowed another. Day two, this was a different animal. Really nice fruit came forward, brighter acid too. Cherry perhaps? Finish lasted about a minute. Still soft but …
