Enkidu Chardonnay Tin Cross

Nose is primarily of lemon curd and a bit of tropical notes. Mouth is soft with the flavors of banana, honey and lemon. Nice creamy texture that does not cross over into butteriness. However, the oak seems to dominate the fruit. Yet, finishes with a pleasant spicy note.

Vintage Select Industry Tasting (Vintage Select Warehouse, Houston, TX) : Nose of white peach, apple, lemon, spicy oak. On the palate, apple, guava, lychee, citrus. Finishes with a creamy moutfeel and nice zing. Very good to excellent.

Nice easy drinker - balanced oak/acid/fruit, slightly sweet. Definite crowd pleaser.

2 reviews in one: I like this much better in the tasting room. It had more tropical notes of guava and lychee. But this time around, I didn't taste the same aromas. So I rate it an 87 My husband also noticed that the tropical notes disappeared, but liked it just as much as the first time, rating it a 90.
