Absolutely singing. Dense core of fruit still on show, lively acid and super silky tannins. This hasn’t reached its peak yet, thankfully I have one more left in the cellar.

Nice nose, slight mint showing and a little herbal, dark fruit Palate: nice sweet fruit with dark soft notes.

Sweet fruit on the nose. Ripe. Softened on the mouth, it’s well balanced. Can still taste the ripe fruit, but tertiary flavours are present. Light mineral, it’s not quite old library vibes but has the depth and character that comes with 11 years. Feel this could run a while yet. It’s not a top tier WA Cab but at the price point this goes well.

Gourmet Traveller Wine Western Australian Cabernets (Dank Street, Waterloo, Sydney) : Concentrated, savoury blackcurrant with pencil shavings and graphite, spice. Slight flabby initially, broad, beamed and, for me, perhaps a little anonymous. Finishes warm.
