Lunch of chicken musakhan, tabbouleh, and chickpeas with lemon seemed the perfect opportunity to try the first of these. A very subtle Sauvignon, with a pretty nose that contained hints of lychee as well as citrus and grass. Flint and grapefruit, some leesy influence and a sense of precision on the palate. A really classy wine.

Lots of citrus, asparagus, touch of orange blossom and melon. The palate has such a delicate touch of limes, grapefruits, gooseberries, all with almost a creamy acidity, a little saline edge and a finish that goes through limes, pink grapefruits and sherbet, truly delicious. Well worth seeking out to #giveanewwineago 91 points

Drinking beautifully. Ripe white orchard fruit. Mothwatering acidity. Flinty reductivity. Yum

Served with an appetizer of shrimp mousseline. Complemented the food very nicely. This is an intense, very mineral Sancerre, with no tropical fruit flavors, indeed with none of the common Sauvignon Blanc identifiers. Edgy acidity, slight smokiness, flavors of peppermint and pear brandy. This is much stonier and tighter than the Monoparcelle 538 from the same producer, and I prefer this wine. Very drinkable now but will last for quite a while.

Kveldens mest imponerende.

Beautiful Sancerre. Nice nose of grapefruit and gooseberry, No pepe Le pew. Creamy on first taste and prickly with acid mouthfeel almost like a champagne. Dies out to honeyed finish and long aftertaste. Seems slightly sweet. Everyone enjoyed at table.

PnP, 12C. First sip; bee wax, honey, white flower, tangerine, carambola, nettles, tart boysenberry, pineapple candy, lemongrass, mineral, chalc, walnuts. Complex and with soul. Good acidity fresh. Do not think it will improve and godd for att couple of years. With Kalix roe, but prefered to match with goat cheese. Chèvre chaud could be perfect…try next time 92+

Light yellow. Creamy nose, some tropicality but overall this leans to orchard and citrus. Where the pineapple comes in is on the palate, with perhaps some quince jelly or something along those lines. It's really good, although it felt a little tense on the night so maybe needs some more time to unfurl. A great advert for Sancerre, most enjoyable with Steelhead Trout.

Very characteristic Sancerre features on the nose with black current leafs, gooseberries, and citrus. Very focused in the mouth, nice layers of fruit, refreshing acidity and a compelling finish. With its great personality, this is an amazing effort! 93+

Agree with thegreen1985 tasting notes. Definitely an outstanding Sancerre. Great nose, good concentration and finish. Could serve this to anyone with confidence.

Much better than the 2017 I tried before, which alludes to my previous opinion that my preference for Loire whites lies on the younger side. More tension than the 2017, with a slight sweetness on entry. Good roundness and texture without any greenness for a SB but not overly ripe or tropical either. Very good, just not not as stunning as the best Sancerres.

French white wine from Sancerre: Sauvignon Blanc. 14 % alcohol. Aged for 10 months, on fine lees, in neutral 600L French oak demi-muids. Light golden color. Powerful and delicate aromas of brioche, lemon, pear, green herbs and minerals. Intense flavors of pineapple, honey, exotic spices, lemon and minerals. Dry. Full body. Medium+ acidity. Very good balance. Good structure. Complex and intense. Very long finish with brioche and lemon. A very rich and enjoyable wine. At its best when it’s fridge …

Tasting this blind, you would never guess Sancerre, my guess would be Bordeaux. This is deep and textured and offers more structured compared to most Sancerre. Aromas of white peach, citrus peel, cucumber, spring flowers, elderflower, butter tart and jasmine. The palate is layered, with notes of juicy white orchard fruits, citrus tart, wet stones, bright acidity, a saline textured mid-palate with a sweet and slightly oil finish.

Coravin. Stunning. Salmon with Hollandaise, Aioli, Mayo. This is best with mayo as it is quite a powerfull wine and Should not be to distracted. (Hollandaise best with Jura Chardonnay, Aioli with Chablis).

Really beautiful wine. Tasted next to Monoparcelle 538. Although not quite the weight of the 538, this is every bit a serious wine. The nose has a yeasty, Toastiness that really takes the complexity to a new level. Lime, flint, wet stones. Really exceptional.
