Of the 2003, 2004 &2005, I liked this one the best.

Well, my last note on this was 8 years ago, and I said it was at late peak window for me and that I'd try to drink my last one within the year. (91 pts) I'm glad I paid no attention to that. This was really nicely developed and integrated. Probably late peak window for me - LOL! But 92-93ish now.

Splash decanted about 20 minutes before dinner. Purple garnet, showing some aging. Initially rather red fruited, but began to darken in profile after a few minutes. Some cedar, licorice, and dark caramel. Sweet and plush on the attack. Black cherry, Loganberry, a bit of forest floor with brown sugar and caramel. Tannins pretty resolved and soft. I would say late peak window for me; I'll try to drink my last within the year.

This wine is perfect to drink right now. Amazing balance between fruit and earthiness (just a hint, but in balance, as I mentioned) along with great acidity. All of that in a package of well rounded and smooth tannins and you have a winner!!!!

This was a nice somewhat fruity cab blend

Really nice bottle, has come together nicely in the last few years since I opened my first one. Really light on its feet for a primarily cab blend. Tannins are integrated at this point and the wine really sings after about 30 minutes in the glass. Sad I don't have more.

Delicious wine. Popped and poured last night. Paired really well with the meal we had. I had the same bottle 2 years earlier and was disappointed. It has come around nicely.

Not quite sure what to make of this--was worried that these bottles were over the hill based on other notes. However, there's still plenty left and this is a very enjoyable wine. It's still pretty tight when you pop and pour, all tannins and acid, with some typical cab fruit available on the finish. Once the wine had some time to breathe (~30 min), everything came together nicely. Definitely not your typical Cali cab, much more restrained and more balanced …

Last bottle. Just not very "eventful". Fruit was a little lacking but ok, tannins were balanced. I just expect much more for the price. Other wines at this pricepoint blow this one away.

Popped and poured. Nose of sour cherry, black cherry, cedar, tobacco, spicy. On the palate, cedar, red currant, black cherry, blackberry, spice. Finishes with balanced tannin and acidity but very little fruit. A well made cab but it really under delivers for the price. Drink with a short decant or continue to hold over the shorter term.

Not stunning but to be fair drank this after an 06 Lynch Bages. Good medium body with moderate fruitness - not necessaryily something I would put in the cellar or but specifically - especially the price - overpriced for what it is. It was not decanted and that may also be an issue.

Disappointing, nice nose revealed a wine that was fairly one dimensional on the palette. Still a fair amount of tannic structure left but lacking fruit.

I certainly expected better. A nice nose but the palate seems like a very good wine that is fading. I popped this because the previous post. I noticed while opening the cork felt less tight than usual. The cork looked and smelled fine. My suggestion is, if you have more that one, try one soon and see what you think. If you have only one, I suggest consuming now.

Dark color. The nose shows some glycerin infused cassis and blackberries. Palate shoes the reddish leaning fruit profile with blackberry and black cherry. Some quiet notes of cassis and kirsch. This is a medium bodied wine with tons of structure and class. Nice fresh lead pencil shavings, violet, and cedar box. Fine delineated tannins with a ultra pure and precise acidity, this has much elegance and class, all delivered somewhat subdued. Nice. A long clean and focused finish that went …

90% Cab Sauv, 7% Petit Verdot, 3% Merlot. Decanted about an hour. Blackish purple. Kind of tobacco/tar predominating on nose, with blackberry, molasses, sweet oak. Soft tannins. Big and enjoyable with top sirloin, no particular complexity though well made and not at all a fruit bomb. 91+

Wonderful wine. Needs to be decanted. Black fruit on the nose once it opens up and good backbone. Tannins pronounced, but soft enough to enjoy now with decanting for 1-2 hours. However, this wine will improve for the next decade.

Excellent. Dark purple color. Tobacco, oak and dark fruits on the nose. High acidity balanced with dark fruits (plum, blackberry). Not a fruit bomb. Could be confused with a left bank Bordeaux in a tasting. Strong tanins on the finish that mellowed after decanting for 1 hour. Long finish. For a Bordeaux lover, this is a great California Cab. Had with coffee rubbed grilled steaks and excellent with food.

Very solid cab blend drinking nicely now, but could use a few years for the tannins to soften a little more.
