Definitely benefited from some time in the rack. Tannins softened but still there.

Somewhat thin and disappears on the palate. Overall okay wine.

Consistent, moderate flower/dark fruit nose. Dropped off in the middle, slight tannin length, leather/smoky start

Great qpr. Nice and juicy with plenty of racy characteristics and a herbal feel. Very harmonic and makes you reach for another glass. Certainly best as a food wine.

Very dark purple, seems like it'll be thick based on how the legs stick to the inside of the glass. Thick, earthy nose of mushrooms, wet forest floor, and overripe cherries. Much more fruit once you take a sip. Obvious black cherry & currant, some strawberry, and soft tannins complete the picture. This wine is delicious! Nice medium-full body and a strong finish make this one a keeper, especially at sub-$15.

I find that the wines of Xavier Vignon, for me, often push near the limit of being over the top fruit forward, but this particular wine, while still quite new world in style, retains enough southern Rhone style to be quite good. Lighter, med bodied with expressive red fruit with some dark fruit notes and some nice garrigue undertones. Fine tannins on the finish. All in all a really nice bottle of wine with an excellent qpr.
