Henri de Villamont Grands-Echezeaux

Excellent fill level. Cork removed intact, fully saturated but tightly sealed. Not decanted. Clear deep blood ruby - brick red. Subdued bouquet of stony soil, Earl Grey tea, raspberry/plum liqueur, rose petals, and aromatic wood. Similar on the palate, elegant and balanced, medium body, nice finish. Improved in the glass over two hours, but after 24 hours under vacuum stopper in the refrigerator, the wine began to show not-unpleasant notes of nutty sherry.
