No formal notes but it was one of the better wines in the lineup. I gave it 94 Points but I'll need to try this one again along with The Family Reserve.

Our sixth trip to Wine Country - Two days of "unofficial" tastings and dinner at Cyrus; 8/10/2024-8/11/2024 (Napa and Geyserville, CA) : Tasting at Venge Vineyards with good friends. No formal notes as we were wrapping up the tasting. But I did like it and scored it a 93 which makes it one of the best two wines of the tasting! Brad - heavypourwine.com

Fresh ripe blackberry, black cherry, dark-roast coffee, cedar, clove, vanilla, and a touch of black olive and bay laurel. Fruit is ripe and "sweet". M+ intensity. High tannins have been managed exceptionally well to deliver a supple polished texture. Full bodied and concentrated, but not heavy due to the well-integrated high acid. Long finish. Deep inky ruby-purple color. Alcohol is maybe a touch high, but it's the nature of the region, and is still mostly in harmony with the other …

Didn't just like this wine, I loved it. After a 30-min decant, enjoyed with some surf and turf. Moderate tannins providing a softer mouthfeel, medium acid, and a complex full body of both blue and red fruits. Agree with previous review that a bit more age will reward this wine. Probably one of the best SLD wine I've had.

Surprisingly not to young. Fruit bountiful but laced with enough tannic bite to round it out. Decanted for 30-50 minutes and it needed it. Would nonetheless wait 4-5 years before opening next one.
