Bold nose, with a balance of fruit and oak. The palate has firm but accessible tannins. The flavors are fading a bit, but still enjoyable. Should hold here for another year, maybe two.

Super fragrant nose, with a nice balance of fruit and oak. The palate is similar but could use just a tad more depth. Reminiscent of a perfectly aged Bordeaux. Delicious. An exceptional value.

On opening, I thought this was too ripe and overoaked. After decanting, there was better balance, and more pyrazines were showing. Blueberry and briary fruit with just a touch of stewed fruit character. Accents of cocoa and tobacco. Med+ acidity and medium tannins. Definitely ripe and a touch sweet but the acidity and pyrazines offer good balance. Good value.

Consistent with my previous note. This always drinks above its price point (shhhhh), and this bottle is no exception.

Has mellowed a bit with some bottle time. Good fruit on the nose. I also detect some smokey notes (smoke taint?) but it’s not offputting at all. The palate shows a nice balance of juicy fruit and oak with a hint of char. Drink now or hold for 2-3+ years.

Dark berries and graphite on the nose. Nice balance on the palate. Easy to drink now, but this wine always develops nicely after a year in bottle. Just barely makes 90 right now.
