A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark purple in color. A full bodied red, blackberry, plums, layered favors, with some graphite and toasted spices, a solid Malbec.

Tasty, but one dimensional. Rich flavor profile of dark red fruit front to mid palate with the intensity reminiscent of a petite shirah. What was missing was some acidity or spice on the back end to make this special. Once this was paired with food i forgot about that, but I prefer a wine that can stand on its own, especially when premium priced. My go to Malbec remains Punto Final Malbec Reserve which is around $15 (less than half …
