So I bought a cellar; 11/12/2022-12/31/2030 : this was good - opened for my office Thanksgiving potluck. deep and dark, blue and black fruits, slightly hot. but tasty.

Got better with time and more air. Definitely noticed the Bordeaux style of this wine and drinks the same way. Medium purple color, mostly smooth, medium, and very dry finish.

Glad I grabbed this as the wine had bled to the end of the cork. No harm, however, as we enjoyed the dark, mellow blend decanted through an aerator. Layered dark fruit, earth, wood and spice and a medium finish. Enjoyed a glass before dinner, and finished the bottle with a hearty chuck roast and vegetables.

Typical Bordeaux-like nose, with hints of dust. Medium to full bodied, with an understated flavor profile overall (except, I would say, for the unusually noticeable 4% Malbec,) marked by a tad of sweetness at the back end. Finishes dry, with medium acidity. 14.5% ABV. 87+ Update: Seems to be drinking better three days later. 87-88

This is Trione’s signature Bordeaux style blend that showcases the winery’s style. Big fruit up front with cassis and even chocolate on the palate. The Cabernet seems to dominate here, but there is a softer, more approachable aspect in this wine–no doubt attributable to the Merlot in the blend. Excellent. 90-92 Points. www.thedrunkencyclist.com

53% Cabernet Sauvignon. 22% Merlot, 11% Pinot Noir, 10% Cabernet Franc, 4% Malbec. Really engaging texture on the palate. And a little roasty note, not unlike wines of SA. A pretty impressive set of wines from Trione.
