A nose of dark fruit and tar, dark purple in color. A medium to full bodied Malbec, with black cherry, plum, cassis, chocolate and spice on finish. A solid wine, good every year. www.winelx.com

shared with pat at selkirk manor. consistent with other commentators, i am impressed with the rich dark purple color indicating a wine of both youth and substance. on the nose, this is a sugar plum fairy enhanced by a chocolate coating. good follow through on the palate with firm body and firm structure. although quite enjoyable, i fear that this bottle was opened too soon and that additional bottle age will allow the wine to develop greater complexity. will have …

Deep, dark purple in color. I continue to love this wine. Only four bottles left of a case purchased one year ago for $12.79/bottle. The nose is hot and dominated by dark unsweetened chocolate with undertones of caramel and pomegranate. Tannins competed with acid through the mid palate to form a distinct flavor of tobacco with cedar and pepper giving way to some to fruit of plum, fig and crème de cassis on the finish. Dry, mouth gripping tannins are …

- Purple color with fast forming legs and aromas of rose and bell pepper. It's overly acidic and has flavours of cut green grass, dusty and cloves with a light/medium body. Linear texture with a medium finish.

2007 Punto Final Reserva Malbec made with grapes from vineyards in La Consulta (1,100 metres) and Perdriel (900 metres), both at different altitudes. The blended wine spends 10 months in French Oak. As well as some lovely floral characters I found spice, wood and chocolate.

Creamy aromas and flavors of blueberry and blackberry. A juicy style that is sorta one dimensional, but has a yummy factor that will be a crowd pleaser. Soft and rounded tannins. Seems designed for early consumption. Pretty good for what it is, but nothing to rush out and find. This style can be found rather easily.

Deep, dark purple color. Decent legs. Not much on the nose at first, but this wine really opened up after 5 hrs. Lots of fruit and dark berries. There is still some alcohol present, but it doesn't overpower the smell of the berries. This wine smells like chocolate covered cherries. At first, I picked up little from the flavor profile and was disappointed. It was very tight. After hours, the flavors have come out. Oaky with a burnt wood flavor. …

Aroma is plums and oak, and maybe some smoke. Taste is strongly of plums and a little bit of cherries, followed by a vanilla aftertaste that is frankly very cool. Tannis are notable, but soft, and there is a clear oak taste. On the whole, I think this is an excellent example of a Malbec.

A rich, intense, oaky style with juicy black plum and currant fruit flavors that are heavily lavished with sweet vanilla and burnt wood notes. Full-bodied, mouthcoating and extracted on the palate, with fruit and oak flavors that drive through to the finish.

Deep violet color, intense nose with classic Malbec plum, blackberry, earth. Nice full body, soft tannins. Quite impressive for well under $20.

Well made wine! At $15 price point, this reserva is a well made wine with an OK structure, balance and taste. Not impressive but OK quality for the price.

Really enjoyed this with an artichoke and spinich pizza. Nice balance, acidity and some dark fruit with a hint of sweetness.
