Drinking very well right now. A little lighter bodied than most cabs. But, lots of fruit and great nose with some grippy tannins.

Deep ruby color, great bouquet of dark fruit and blackberries. Initially it seemed overwhelmed by tannins, but after leaving it open for 30min - 1hour it opened up, though a nice hint of oak remained. In some sense a typical Californian wine, thick, full-bodied and laden with fruit. Some complexity and the smooth finish makes this a nice wine to drink leisurely. I was surprised to find this quality wine in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Definitely recommended!

A rather rustic, dry Cabernet Sauvignon that is being overwhelmed with notes of leather and oak. Better on the second day, after having been vacuum corked. The style reminded me of an '02 Estate De Loach Cab. 84-86
