Prior bottle was 22 months ago and this wine has evolved along the lines I'd hoped. Nose is still quite aromatic, but not quite as overpowering as before, showing dark black raspberry, plum and dark black cherry along with spices notes. Darkest and deepest blackfruit notes on the nose of any of the wines tasted tonight along with dry floral and dry earth qualities. Medium bodied (15.5% ABV), but doesn't show the alcohol upfront. Mainly red cherry and dark red cherry upfront, adding some darker notes notes through the middle. Has very good depth through the mid-body, but the fruit profile of the wine (despite the alcohol) isn't as "big" or dark as the nose. Alcohol does come through on the …
