An unusual and perhaps controversial sparkling wine. Deliberately softer with lower CO2 level. Really nice Pinot Noir character on nose; almost breaking down the barrier between sparkling and still wines. The aim is clearly a softer texture. Much will depend on your expectations. Limited yeast autolysis character; very much resting on the fruit side. Interesting to taste even if I wouldn't necessarily go looking for this wine.

By the glass at Noreetuh in NYC. Not sure about the other bad experiences below but it was really decent tonight. Nose is creamy and slightly leesy with vague hints of orchard fruits and a saline note. Palate is tight and refreshing with fine bubbles and more cream, almond, raspberry, yellow apple and mushroom. Very fine bubbles; very enjoyable.

By the glass at the BA lounge, JFK. No clue as to when this was opened. Soft and light, not the confectionery and fake wine we expected and a bit close to a rose from Provence. A good 87 but don’t expect anyone to be amused by it.
