Just after popping the cork the wine is all leather and permanent marker, but with a little bit of aeration an interesting mix of fruit appears. All at once, the aroma made me think of fresh blackberries, dried fruits and candied plums. On the palate I also got the impression of black licorice and tannins like a dusty road, there was ample acidity. Quel secret bien gardé que ce superbe ripasso. À l'ombre des vedettes comme le Zenato, il prouve que la qualité se cache à des endroits parfois méconnus. Fruité à souhait et aux tanins bien fondus, il demande toutefois un bon 2 heures d'attente pour s'épanouir. Il profite pleinement de ce merveilleux milésime que fut 2007.

Wow. Ruby-red. Highly aromatic nose of cherry candy and some mintiness. Powerful, intense nose of serious cherry, blueberry, some spice, and eucalyptus/mint. Very tasty. Balance is almost perfect, just a touch more complexity than the weight of the wine can carry. Finish goes on and on. Serious "baby Amarone."

This is a hugh Amarone with a taste of plum, chocolate, cedar and cherry. This had been lost in our cellar and miss labeled - This is the first time we have had this wine. Defintely a great find Well balanced wtht the acid and tanins - The prune taste of amarone is very well matured and opened this wine and just drank.
