Excellent. A lively blend of raspberry, strawberry, dark cherry, linalool... a touch of blood & iron on the finish. Light/medium body with a clean streak of acid running through. Delicious! I've tasted a couple other Julienas over the years, and they've been much bigger in stature with far more pronounced mineral/blood profiles. This expression is lighter and more graceful in style. I like :)

Opened and paired with a carne asada burrito. Dark, cloudy crimson color. Nose bring fragrant cherry blossoms, grape hard candy, lavender, and high-toned red cherry notes. The palate is medium, square, crunchy, and textured, bringing tangy cherries, blackberries, wood smoke, and hints of cloves and mint. The finish is dry and tannic, yet refined and quenching. Overall a good QPR. Drink 2021-2024. Technical score: 90. Enjoyment score: 91.

Gave it some air in the bottle, has some pleasant cherry and gravel aromas, nicely light and juicy, although it drinks like a Cru with finesse and richness, raspberry, black cherry and a bitter tea leaf note on the back end, drinkable and food friendly

Rich and delicious, with luscious dark cherry, even striking me as Burgundian on the second night. Moderate acid. Definitely not your average lightweight Beaujolais, but still nicely earthy and grounded in terroir.

not a "purjuice". Overripe and overextracted to my taste of modern beaujolais. Dark, quite concentrated. A bit too much oak to my taste

My exploration of the Beaujolais Crus continues with this Julienas. So incredibly different that a Fleurie or Regnie. Tasted blindly, this could be mistaken for a northern California Pinot Noir. Medium ruby color. The expected “bubblegum” aromas are barely detectable. Instead, I get tart/ripe strawberry and bing cherry, along with eucalyptus and herbal notes. Dusty cherry and pomegranate on the palate, with medium acid and medium tanin. Medium - body and a medium + length finish. This would probably be …

This fits the bill if you're in the mood for a red wine from Beaujolais. It's ready to go. It sings with purity and terroir. It did not strike me as a wine with a lot of complexity. More about joy and immediacy. However, it does balance itself as it breathes and takes on some Burgundian dimensions. Maybe I should be more patient with the next bottle.
