Opened in October of 2025 and let air for 1-1.5 hrs and it's still an enjoyable fruit forward wine. Properly stored it may have a couple more years. Don't rush to open your bottle. It's probably just fine.

Enjoyed it with thin crust pizza. Not much decanting needed.

Sampled at Oinoscent, courtesy of customer The wine shows low to medium intensity, ripe red fruit, a touch earthy, thin oak frame, sweet spices, there is a warmth eminating from it. In the palate, the wine shows high acidity, lean body, minerality, agressive heat, astringent tannins, underripe red cherries, crrants, sour cherry, short finish

No score on this review. Dark colour with intensive scent, strong, rum, plums, chocolate. High ABV 14,5 with some burn taste, high acidity, strong in taste. Perhaps needs a solid decant, not sure if my bottle was flawed in anyway, but it was very challenging to during and enjoy

Dark fruits and some herbal notes on the nose. More dark fruit, pepper, and spice on the palate. Medium plus acid, light to medium tannins, medium body, medium finish with spice and fruit. After an hour or so to open up, this is really great. This is pretty acidic like a typical Barbera, but this has enough fruit, spice, and complexity to balance it out.

Pleasant Barbera. opened bottle 2 hours earlier and it got best towards the end, so decent decanting is useful. All in all a nice wine.

Drunk over 2 days. Second day was better. Ruby with violet rim. Nose with dark cherries, slightly herbal notes and licorice (2nd day). On the palate dark cherries, licorice and black pepper. Medium to full body. High acidity, a bit too high i.e. sharp on the first day (maybe accentuated by tomato sauce on the pizza I had for dinner). Better balanced with fruit , Alkohol (ABV 14,5 but not hot) and the few present tannins on the second day. …

100% Barbera. Deep purple color, aromas of red and darker fruits with a hint of pepper, very juicy and tasty, soft tannins, good balance. Love this wine, amazing value for this kind of quality!

Very nice, deep scent with notes of earth, dark forest fuits and licorice. 'First impression: In the mouth, the body is not as huge as the scent promised (which is rather positive), there is a seducive arc of spices, dark fruits and acidity, all well balanced. Very tasty indeed. Needs to breath yet, but the first impression is unquestionably positive. After 1 hour (and a bit of increase in temperature, plum jam notes arrive and the oak becomes more apparent, …

Dark brooding red/purple colour. Deep red fruit nose. Soft and full mouthfeel with a long rich dry red finish. I am much more comfortable with this wine than I expected - perfect match tonight with Italian pasta.

The cork was a little difficult to remove. The colour is deep dense red/ purple. Big rich red fruit but with a savoury nose. Light and cool with a fresh clean red dry fruit driven finish. A little difficult to open but with some time to breath developed nicely. Good match with BBQ lamb cutlets and mint sauce - perfect!

17 was a hot year (Lucifer) and it show here. It’s Asti Barbera, yes, but just a bit too hot and ripe for my taste.

Nice but not great Barbera, still lots of red fruit on the palatte, nice acidity. Lacked complexity. Went well with some strong flavoured Italian food.

Dark puple with a slightly watery rim. Nose of leather and a bit of alcohol. On the palate the same impression - quite watery, some scondary flavors and some alcohol. this has defintiely seen it's best days and is over the hill, but still drinkable. Fair. Drink up.
