Can’t say I’ve had a 15 year old champagne before and it is very interesting. The fruit is gone still plenty of fine bubbles. Dry but mild acidity. Still some of the bread yeast on the nose. Medium finish with maybe dried apricot and dried apples on the palette

DG 12/2013 Baked peach, pineapple, caramel, toasted bread, apple strudel, Brie cheese, mushrooms, toasted nuts, black tea, sherry like. Soft texture and integrated acidity. Lovely maison wine, I think it's a good moment to drink it. 91pt

Disgorged 2014 Jan, 55% Pinot Noir, 45% Chardonnay. Golden in color with fine beads, nose is quite reserved with toast and some citrus fruits. On palate, it is a entirely different beast. Concentrated and yet finely balanced, fresh but smooth, zesty but composed. Hint of spice too. Just the right dosage for my liking. Complex with multi-dimensional aroma. Value for money.

Drank at Thanksgiving. It is more rich and smooth than it is lemony.

Perhaps too old but lost a lot of bubbles. Depth and balance limited.

Just about the same notes as last time, maybe a slightly shorter finish. Still a very good champagne at a great price.

Served as Apéro. Absolutely gorgeous autolysis notes, with plenty of toast, some brioche, yeast and sour dough. Well balanced with sufficient acidity that provides freshness, an elegant, creamy mouthfeel and a classy perlage. Flavors of toast, nuts, baked apples, yellow apples and lemon cake on the palate. Medium-plus aftertaste.

Toasty, plenty of brioche notes. Well balanced with plenty of acidity. Very nice QPR for vintage Champagne.

This showed brilliantly on 12/31/15. Just the right amount of age, still a bit of zip (though the bubbles are fading) and a lovely nose to bring it all together. Better than I expected.

Lots of yeast, bread, toast. Nice counterpart acidity with crisp red apple. Good complexity. Drank a bunch, slept, woke up to another glass! Didn't miss a beat.

First the picture here is the wrong one. That picture is of the Millesime. The Grand Cru Reserve is the white label. My past review in here I'd put here was based on the picture. My review of the Reserve is pretty much the same as the Millesime but dialed down on all points across the board. Still a good bottle. This reserve had more fine bottles then the Millesimal. You can see my tasting notes on the Lallier Millesime …

Pale gold color, not a lot of bubbles. Meyer lemon, apple, pear, toasty nose. Drinking great, nose well reflected but would add almond paste, which I love. Nice long finish. It is a bit flat and would have loved to get the fuzzy bubble lift. Unless this was a rouge bottle, drink it all now. Pour it carefully down the side, open it while very cold to save a few more of the tiny bubbles. I think an incredible value. …

Quite delicious. Med+ intensity nose of green apple, apple skin, lemon, pastry, toast, brioche, honey. Palate is high acid, medium+ intensity, notes of toast, honey, brioche, lemon, apple, baked apple, nutty.

This is from Grand Cru areas of Champagne. Left on its lees for eight years. Yeast on the nose. The flavour is of honey gingerbread and candied fruit. 4g/litre of residual sugar. Made from 55% Pinot Noir from Aÿ, and 45% Chardonnay. Should be aged about ten years. Bottle cost $71. Excellent!

Lush but nicely balanced with acidity. Almost has a sweet, fruity nose but delivers a delightfully acidic champagne.

2005 is 55% Pinot coming from the best vines in Ay. The goal is to be intense and way fuller in richness than the others as well as way fuller in acidities as well. This comes from the Chardonnay, which is from Oger, which is apparently coming from Gimmonet. And then left on the lees for seven years. Big and rich apple, starting down that course of having a chocolate finish. A gorgeous Champagne quite frankly. Delicious.

Very bready, french toast. Vinous and full, Bollinger-esque texture, soft but not without some power. Really, really good.

Impromptu Lallier tasting : -- tasted a single glass non-blind, over approx. 5 minutes, from a bottle that had been opened and stoppered approx. 6 hours previous -- -- 55% Pinot Noir, 45% Chardonnay -- Nose is richer, and more broad than the non-vintage offerings; nose also has a pleasantly intriguing umami/savory element to it, too. On the palate, this shows moderately intense apple and pear fruit flavors with a “winey” center; nice little mushroom note, too; less obvious acidity …
