Very good, lighter body and style compared to other DuMol Pinots. Nice spot for drinking now.

Pop and pour into a decanter. In the glass, soft, pale red at the rim, shading gently to opaque, dark red at the core. On the nose, reticent notes of cherry, pine, and damp wood. On the palate, soft and elegant, with cherries, thyme, mint, and a faint hint of blood orange, with mid-palate sweetness and largely resolved tannins on a moderately long finish. If you haven't opened one yet, now's the time to check in.

Bright, clean dark fruit screams off the nose and continues across the palate. While I won’t pretend perfect recollection of my last bottle of this early last year, I think this is falling in line with my prior notes. Fruit driven, New World wine with a medium+ weight. I really enjoy the crisp purity of the fruit and there’s still ample tannins that’re nicely integrated, don’t overpower and show plenty of runway - this could go to 2030 or longer, …

Good but seems early. I’d give it more time.

Our last bottle of DuMol Pinot! We’ve enjoyed these wines so much over the years, but they grew too expensive with other wines that compete better at their prices. The Finn competes well regardless of price. It is absolutely delicious with red and dark red fruits. Great purity and mouthfeel. Terrific nose and beautiful aftertaste.

Dark red fruit poured out of my coravin'd glass. While I typically hesitate to open a bottle of Pinot if my wife won't help me drain it, my first taste of this put that fear to ease and I grabbed the corkscrew. This is a typically full-bodied Dumol with medium plus weight and plenty of structure from its 50% new oak barrel exposure. There's dark red fruit on the nose with black cherry and cassis across the palate. I expect …

Decanted one hour before service - just about right. In the glass, soft violet-tinged purple at the rim, shading to deeper dark ruby red at the core. On the nose, cherries and spice. On the palate, smooth and elegant, with cherries, plums, and a touch of cinnamon leading to a pleasant burst of tannins on the finish.

On the darker red side but don’t think I’d put it in the black or blue fruit side. Has a bit of an orange rind / citrus thing as well. Quite nice.

Drinking lovely, fruit is soft and the nose beautiful. Top of it's class for Sonoma Coast fruit. This fared better than the Eagles did this evening! SuperBowl 2023.

Wow that was (surprisingly) good. Might make me rethink my burg obsession and go back to Cali Pinot. Dark fruited with that sort of rhubarb note. Not overbearing at all with a nice punch of flavor. Nose jumped from bottle at opening in a floral sort of way. In a very good spot now.

No note taken. PnP. Developed in the glass. Nice burgundian profile with forest floor mixed with blue fruit on nose and body. Medium plus finish. Medium plus acidity gave it structure as the tannins softened over a few hours. Very good balance overall In a good place but no need to rush. Dramatic changes as it warmed from my cellar temp 53 degrees to room temperature. 72 degrees .

Dark red color, faint rose bouquet, wonderful flavors of red fruit, totally balanced with no edges. Full bodied but light and elegant. Rich juicy wine that keeps giving. Finish is delicate but relentless. Really exceptional now, can only imagine what 3-5 more years in the cellar can do for it! Not that it needs it! I’m going to have a challenge on my hands not drinking this whole bottle tonight ! Very nice!

Rich and savory blue fruits with a slight touch of funk, and a very nice finish. Drinking great now. Does not have sufficient structure to me to be a long-term holder from here, in my opinion.

3hr decant and it kept rolling beautifully over a 2hr dinner. Soft fireworks of fruit and flavor. Gorgeous bouquet and a matching, lively palate. The treble register fruit is the star but there's much more. Flowers and spices. Super fun. Impressive without being showy. As good or better than the delicious '12 was. Pushing out window now best now - 2024 with a long decant, but still nice for several years beyond that.

Burgundy/purple color. Muted nose. Luscious mouthfeel with darker fruits, less red fruit. Acidity is there to help this age a little.

Decanted for two hours. My thoughts are very similar to my last tasting 18 months ago. This comes across much more as a classic Pinot rather than the heavier structure I’ve come to expect from Dumol. Strawberry, rhubarb, red cherry; light fruit with little structure or mouthfeel. Drink up.

Decanted for 60 minutes before service - 3 hours might have been preferable. In the glass, medium-maroon at the rim, shading to dark purplish-maroon at the core. On the nose, a blast of cherries, with a bit of lemon thyme in the background. On the palate, still very young, with a load of cherries on the attack, but tannic tartness on the long finish. A full complement of fruit and tannins at this stage - hard to say whether this …

Really lovely Pinot. Some earthiness and richness along with the cherry cola, surprisingly both elegant and substantial. One hour decant and it improved over the next hour.

Coravin’d 2 glasses on day 1, drank the balance 3 days later. Strawberry and rhubarb on the nose. Nicely balanced but structure isn’t as firm as many of their premium grade pinots. I concur w the CT drinking window

West Sonoma Coast Tasting (Washington, DC) : Loving the savory kick on the nose here. Plush but bright on the palate, structured well. Raspberries and strawberries laced with olives and pepper. Impressive range of flavors, this will age nicely.

West of West DC (The Hecht Washington DC) : One of my wife's faves of the evening. I thought this was very good but preferred the Wildrose. This doesn't have the acidic lift and has a bit more heft so it comes down to preference. Nose has a bit more herbal quality and fruit here is darker and fuller. (Note I initially had this under 2016 by mistake)
