Castellucci Miano Perricone Sicilia Perric.One

The sweet part is rather dominant, don't ensuring a perfect balance, not their best vintage.

First evening showing very warm and sweet fruit, really not reflecting its terroir. After 10 minutes or so the tannins start showing too much, resulting in a rather unpleasant glass of wine. But on day 3 it had a much fresher showing and a more typical one for this house with more focus on the acidity and the minerals. But still it couldn't live up to their excellent 2015 vintage.

Very nice, dark fruit, plum, black cherry, earth, bit of herb and spice, wood. Nice tannin and balanced acidity.
