Smells and tastes like dog doo doo. Hoping it opens up... its been in the decanter an hour.

Blackcurrant, vanilla, cinnamon, smoke, cedar and animalistic notes in the aroma. Medium fruit, medium minus acidity and quite weak mellow tannins although overall balance seems intact. Suspect high degree of malolactic fermentation. Blackcurrant and oaky notes dominating palate. Medium length non complex finish with mostly secondary and tertiary oaky notes. Had with burger, a good combination. Missing some uniqueness.

Lots of fruit, lots of concentration, lots of spice. In that order. Delicious.

Violet color. Peppery nose. Full bodied. Acids dominating the initial impressions then matured tannins and black fruits. Long but not that complex finish.

Lots of pepper, with licorice, crushed stone and black currant. Tannins still present, and I guess I actually had it a little on the early side. I am no big fan of Australian wines, but this certainly was enjoyable!
