More concentrated than the normal wine and very fresh still, with zesty fruit flavours, but not enough complexity for the price. The 2015 Filliatreau is as good for 3 times less.

Lovely aromas of flowers, peppers, and game. Very elegant on the palate, showing purity of fruit and superb balance. Drinking well after 1 hr of decanting. Not bad for an off vintage.

Deep, dark and very chocolatey. Currently rather monolithic, too influenced by its new oak ageing for me. Some odd medicinal notes as well. However its non-crescendo sibling was awesome recently and the raw materials here must be even better, so perhaps at an awkward stage.
