Agree this is a great QPR wine. Stony and mineraly. Punches above its weight. It’s nothing special but it’s very decent and drinkable and we will be getting more for pairing with food. $16.

Very mediocre and only slightly drinkable wine. Low acid. Not overly sweet or anything. Standard dry Pinot Gris. As previous note mentions it's a good QPR, but honestly I'd rather spend another $5 on the bottle and get something that is better than mediocre.

Wow, great QPR. I wasn't expecting too much for the price, but this wine over-delivered. Big fruit nose, leading with light pear accent, good acid balance and decent finish. This is a great pop and pour (twist and pour) wine, that I will be looking to buy more of.

Not as tropical/weird as the last bottle (screw caps AREN'T perfect) but definitely more overtly sweetly floral than is my preference. Two tablespoons of water to the bottle made it drier and more palatable.

Great everyday wine at a great price point. Floral, honey and apricot on the nose. Medium mineralogy, good balance and mouth feel. A nice light finish. Drank alone but would pair very well with a Friday night pizza.

Ripe, tropical, and sweetish. IOW, ghastly. Elk Cove is usually good on this variety--what the heck's going on down there?

Tasted blind. Clear, bright, pale yellow, with a copper core and a green hue on the rim. The nose is clean, medium (+) in intensity, with bruised apple, ripe pear, white flowers, lemon zest, melon, yeasty lees and some wet stone. The nose is youthful, with no perceptible oak. The palate is dry, with some residual sugar, medium acid, medium to medium (+) alcohol (13%) and a slight phenolic bitterness on the finish. Overall, medium (+) body, medium intensity and …

I enjoyed the wine. It had a nice bit of pineapple fruit with a a little lemon and slight honey sweetness with a touch of acidity to balance. Wife didn't enjoy as much as I did but would buy again for the QPR at $15.

So delicious. Just drank our last 2009. It's crisp, minerally, with hints of honeydew melon & citrus, so smooth.... Buttery, but not in an oaky way. Very nice, and everyone likes. Hints of sweet, but finish is crisp enough that sweetness doesn't linger. Wish I had more

Very aromatic & pretty nose. Lots of florals (sweet hay), honey, green apple & pear. Medium bodied, smooth & rich like I like a Gris, nice silky texture. Medium-low acidity; maybe not quite enough to cut through the juiciness of all the fruit here. Loads of pear for me on the palate, but the complexities of the nose are a little lost. Even so, it is delicious & shows great varietal character. There is a slight mineral kick on a …

Apple, pear, and mineral notes. Pear, citrus, and mineral on the mid-palate, leading to a crisp finish. Acidic balance was good. A refreshing Pinot Gris that paired well with grilled, marinated, chicken spiedie. A very good QPR.

Color: Pale straw yellow. Nose: Sweet and fragrant, with kiwifruit, granny smith apple, honey, and white flower. Tiny hint of minerality. Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied, but with a sappiness that makes it seem heavier than it is. Palate: Initial hit of kiwifruit, white peach, and sugar, then turns hollow through to the short, slightly bitter finish. Lacks acid to balance the sweetness and goes flabby. Pretty nose, but otherwise disappointing.

(13.5%) Big honeyed, pollinated floral nose. This one is rich, juicy and fruit forward on the palate loaded with peaches and some pear/cantaloupe notes on the edges before a mineral acidity emerges on the backbone leading to a crisp, lingering mineral rock finish with touches of citrus. Best Pinot Gris I’ve had to date but I’d still recommend pairing this one with food. The Thai recommended by the winery seems like a good place to start. Wine Geek Notes: 18,430 …

Served a bit cooler than typical, due to the warm weather on Maui. This refreshing balanced wine shows citrus and melon on the nose with mouth watering acidity to pair well with grilled chicken. Despite the reputation that pinot gris fade quickly with time, this one seems to be holding up well for a 3 year old unoaked white.

Color of bleached yellow straw. Restrained nose at first but opened up with time and temp to show orchard fruit - crisp apple, touch of citrus, peach - and brine (nice). Very nice palate. Refreshing and very enjoyable with a nice lingering finish and mild b/g acidity. Solid rating for a well made Oregon pinot gris.

Light straw color. Nose of moderate citrus and faint melon. Same for midplate with moderate acidity. A faint sweetness keeps this from being a great wine. Still fantastic acidity to go with food. Hope this profile stays put for the rest of my bottles. Had some lasting power the next 2 days - sprayed the nitrogen in the bottle prior to the 'fridge.

Pale color. Fragrant nose of tropical fruit, including pineapple, mango and also some honeydew melon. Crisp, light mouthfeel, with delicious pineapple, melon, honey and some butter and caramel. Finishes with the same flavors, doesn't last long, but is delicious. This is an easy quaffing wine, perfect for a summer day.

Very nice Pinot Gris. A bit pale, but pleasant on the nose with apricot and tropical fruit (pineapple?). Buttery with random hint of caramel. Crediting a prior tasting note - maybe a bit thin on its own, but an excellent accompaniment to a meal. Had with rosemary-lemon-garlic trout. At the price, will consider buying more.
