Bastille Day with GMs and Mivvy : AP #21, 500ml. Melon, lemon, orange, white florals and peaches. Good flavour intensity on the palate, the spritzy acidity feels well balanced by the sweetness and fruit. Good length and texture, this is still developing and has plenty left to give.

Very impressive again. This bottle was a little more muted on the nose than others I've had in the recent past, but on the palate it was still explosive, full and mouthcoating with a ton of cherries, white fruits and honey with a jab of minerals and acid at the back end.

Lopez de Heredia dinner at Troquet (Boston, MA) : Light yellow colour with an incredible nose that soars from the glass, showing honey, slate, peach and other orchard fruits and hints of rose petals. Rich and sweet in the mouth with peach, pineapple and red fruited flavours layered with minerals and honey, yet surprisingly light on its feet with bright acidity and a long finish.

East Village Riesling Extravaganza (New York) : Full bodied and intense, showing expressive flavours of red fruits, apples, peaches, honey, nuts and flowers across the nose and palate. Creamy in texture with good acidity underneath keeping it in balance and a long sweet finish.

Finger Lakes/German Riesling shootout (Glenora Wine Cellars, Finger Lakes) : A stunning wine. Absolutely delicious with flavours of cherries, apples, peaches, pineapples and flowers drenched in honey and minerals. With time some petrol and creamy notes emerge. This is full bodied with immense power and richness, and good acidity underneath all the fruit keeping it in perfect balance. Long, honeyed finish.
