There's a lot to like about this wine - if you want a white wine you can sock away in your cellar for 10+ years, (and don't have to pay too much for the privilege!) and be pretty sure it won't come out tasting nasty or sherry like, this is a good choice. There's still a tight lemon and mineral focused pour waiting for you at the end. Unfortunately, after waiting for 10+ years one hopes that something slightly "more …

Continues to evolve sloooooowly. Florals on the nose, tight lemon on the palate. Last tasted towards the end of 2020 and I vowed to wait another 5 years. I should listen to myself more often.

When I purchased this wine the recommendation was to hold it until 2020-2025! As 2020 is coming to a close, I found this bottle still lemony tight, with a strong streak of minerality but no flesh on the bones (so to speak). I had opened a Muscadet recently with similar age and it was beginning to round and fill in, as I hoped this would too. But no such "luck". Its not that the wine was bad or fading or …

FWS Bordeaux and Southwest tasting 2020; 7/21/2020-7/22/2020 : Last bottle I drank of this was in 2016 and I pronounced it dead. Tonight's bottle was very different and very much alive. High acidity with a beautiful perfumed nose. This also showed its age and somehow pulled off having great acid and a heavy body. Was truly lovely and wish I had more. I never would have guessed an $11 bottle just needed 9 years to settle down.

Note: I use a scale on which 85 represents a very good wine. No drama here, but also no problems. This was a straightforward entry-level white Bordeaux, no more, no less. Good acidity with some fruit to balance. Easy drinking.

simple, crisp, refreshing. Did not seem to benefit from bottle age...

Was very oxidized and dead. I will open my other soon to see if it was an off bottle, or just past its time...

I remember this being better a year ago. Will be drinking remaining bottles soon!

I did not post a TN for the previous bottle I had of this wine. but it was a few months ago. For whatever reasons, this bottle was much more enjoyable than that one. Not as sharp or acidic, coming into balance. No metallic tastes, no effervescence. I have one left, and I am going to let it sit to see what happens. Regardless, excellent QPR at $12.

subtle chardonnay.. nicely balanced and not oaky at all. But still has a bit of richness.. A nice simple wine.

Blech. Metallic taste on finish is rather unappealing.

Good value. Heavy on the tart lime/lemon. Get even a little effervescence which I like but my wife does not. Fresh. Good.

Its got a hint of grassy Sauvi on the back palate and a bit of floral fruit up front. Lots of sharp acids still command your attention but as you might expect (and certainly hope) it is beginning to flesh out from an earlier bottle I tasted and reviewed back in March (so that's good) but it still seems disjointed - like two separate wines that were thrown together and told to "make it work" (a la Tim Gunn). For …

Decent, but awkward. Tart without being zippy. A bit sweet. Nothing really wrong with it but nothing I would buy again.

I opened my last two bottles for the beginning of a 7/13/13 birthday party. It had a fresh, light and taut bouquet of lemon, vanilla, hay, herb and spice aromas. The palate was clean, fresh and tart with flavors of lemon, lime, vanilla, herb, spice and minerals. 88+

Tight, lean, lemony. It paired well with the food (shrimp scampi, lots of garlic, yummy). Not a heavy weight but enjoyable. Still, if you are following my Bordeaux Blanc story, another one to write off, at least in the short run. So many other interesting wines out there, why buy this one (don't worry, I have 11 more bottles so you will get to hear me wine lots more (no pun intended) over the ensuing years if I don't think …

Pretty well made. Refreshing on an warm sunny winter day in Phoenix. Lots of melons and lemon/lime. Had a bit too much of a sweet tart quality, after having more than a glass, it started getting a bit tiring.

12% ABV. Pale straw in the glass. Aromatically, a bit reticent with chalk and citrus rind. Medium-light bodied and fairly innocuous on the palate with lean, tart citrus fruit. Lacks concentration and interest. Can't say I am a fan.
