Domaine Amiot et Fils Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Les Blanchards

Rather anodyne. Was cheap though

Purple/medium red colour, slight menthol/ raisin nose, good acidity, tannins evident but overwhelmed by a massive amount of dark fruit flavours, tannins pop out after on back of the palate, sweetness to the fruit component lingers and gives this good length. Fruit concentration points to California but overall taste is Burgundian. Easy drinking now but hopefully will gain more complexity with time.
