Amber in color with green highlights. Aromas of green herbs, resin, orange citrus and florals give way to a very oily and viscous palate that reveals sweet tropical fruit marmalade, honey, green herbs balanced with superb acidity and a long, endless and sweet/floral finish. Each and every time I drink a Kracher TBA, I am left thinking, damn, I wish I bought more!!

One best sweet wines i had recently. Super orange and tropical fruits aromas, spices (sweet cloves), honey. Some sign of development with dried apricots, nuts and some tertiary elements starting to appear. But still a long life in front of him. What I found superb is the balance. It is definitely on the luscious side but the acidity is so bright and well integrated that the wine feels really fresh and crisp in the mouth. There is a lot of …

Deep golden color. Superb aromas of apricots, tropical fruits, honey, saffron and spice. Palate is exquisitely balanced showing dense core of sweet orange, apricot marmalade, vanilla and spice, great acidity and an enormously long and perfumed finish. Wow!

Maturing at a snail's pace, a beautiful bottle full of yellow tropical fruit and honey with bright acidity -not as thjick as some of his other bottles but delightful.

95 Burgundy (La Trompette, London) : Far fuller in colour, mid amber. Very barley sugar on the nose with a peachy sweetness. Heavier and fuller. Sweet but some balance here. **** 92

Orange in the glass, this medium-plus bodied wine displayed a very tropical nature with notes of papaya and pineapple. Still youthful in nature and highly concentrated, it had a refreshing acidity that worked well with the luscious sweetness. Unlike the previous bottle that had a ZH SGN next to it, this one did not appear to be as sweet, likely because the ZH reference was not in direct competition. Long on the finish. A wonderful bottle for now and many …

Medium deep. Rather light, flowery and fresh nose, simply pleasant. Intensely sweet, rather full, creamy palate. Citrus peel, tangerine, more tropical fruit closer to the finish, with some acidity on the tip of the tongue. Warm, very long aftertaste with plum and grapefruit flavours. That's not something I could really call balanced, but have to admit it was pretty tasty.

Open That Bottle Night at St Jacques. Sweeter than the ZH in the glass next to it but this held it's own quite nicely against the stiffest of competition. A very strong wine when judged on it's own. Tropical Scheurebe notes throughout. 50+12+13+8.5+8.5 = 92

The Scheurebe typical tropical notes were clearly there in this wine. Very sweet but not cloying. Not as impressive as a bottle of the #4 enjoyed a few months ago but still very good.
