Those looking to be wowed or wag their finger at this will be disappointed in its red-fruited reasonableness from night 2 onward: all the charred graphite petite so 65/35 upon opening gives way to short-finishing, surprisingly summery, sessionable juice, though it did have enough heft to complete a hollow Aussie cab. That chimera has been tremendous Not rushing out to buy more @$25, but wouldn't tell anyone not to buy it at that price

Dark raspberry, black cherry, new oak, and dark chocolate aromas show an abundance of ripeness and bottle age maturity. The palate is much fresher and more balanced. It's plump, savory, a hint woody, with nice herbal tea complexity and a solid backbone. Really good now but it's still evolving, hopefully for the better.

I really like this robust blend of 50% Petit Sirah and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon which is perfect for a cold October evening. Deep inky purple colour. Lots on the nose, with ripe dark berries and spices. Cassis comes through first on the palate, followed by ripe berries, dark chocolate and spicy oak. The tannins are smooth but with just enough grip and it finishes long with more dark berry fruit.

Man does that smell like ripe wine product on the nose. And some stinky funk on the palate. And a bit bitter to boot.

Retail $50, 50% Petite Sirah, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Big Ass Bottle. Dark in color, aromas, and flavors (blackberry, cassis, even some black coffee). The palate has plenty of fruit, but also considerable heft with depth, earth, tannic grip. Dark sweet big fruit. Tastes like a Paso wine, nice pepper and spice from the petite sirah .
