Tannins have faded along with the fruit. Some time allowed what was left to open, but definitely needs to be consumed.

This cabernet has a nose of leather, cherries, blackberries, white pepper, and fig. The tannins are pronounced and the finish is smooth and elegant. Though the cork was dry and crumbling as have all of these bottles even when first bought courtesy of WTSO.com, the wine is still drinking decent.

This wine was absolutely terrific! A beautiful nose; tannins were soft and well integrated, and the dark fruit was luscious. A long, smooth finish. Paired with a T-bone steak and mushrooms, the wine was very smooth and had complex flavor nuances. This was worth waiting 14 years for!

This wine has a nose of tobacco, currants, white pepper, leather, and red brick. The wine is extremely smooth with very refined tannins and the finish begins with a bit of spice and ends long. As this wine decanted, it got even smoother and more integrated compelling me to increase the rating to a solid 93; almost 94. Served it with a USDA prime tenderloin and it paired wonderful.

A bold nose of dark fruits and spices, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied red, with blackberry, plum, chocolate and spices on still long finish, in a perfect drinking zone. www.winelx.com

Big and bold with dark, ripe fruit and wonderful, earthy finish. Really good.

Outstanding wine. Drinks like a $100+ cab in its prime. Still has at least 5 years to go before falling flat. Beautiful fruit-forward velvety effort. Complex and intriguing, Full bodied and sexy. Glad I have 1 more left. This will be sorely missed.

Very good Cab. Wine is likely past its peak; tannins soft to non-existent. Still very drinkable but don’t let it linger in your cellar much longer.

Wow was this good. Bought in on a whim several years ago and found it in my cellar. Wish I had bought a lot more. Well integrated and ready to drink. Should last a few more years as well.

Big full velvety mouth. Dark fruits show nicely and separate flavors of raspberry, dark cherry and blackberry blend seamlessly. The finish is velvety tightness of a maturing tannin. This wine is drinking nicely and will continue for at least 5 more years

Big, bold and aging well. This wine still has plenty of life left. I am sad that it is my last bottle as I would like to see what this would be like in another few years 5? Hold. Patience will be rewarded.

One of the better cabs I ever enjoyed; great nose, full rounded flavor and controlled tannins; further improves with aerating

Dark, hazy dull purple. Slight light orange at the rim. Thick slow legs indicating big wine with good alcohol. Nose is slightly on the fruit side with black cherry, black currant , red currant, prune, a touch of toasted caramel and a bit of the alcohol on the inhale. Leather and old spice drawer. Taste is really well balanced - bruised black cherry and currant, tobacco, and charts oak but still wet - full bodied but not strikingly tannic but …

So this one was not like the others. The cork crumbled when I opened it and it was more of a garnet in color than it typically dark purple. This definitely was oxidizing and while it was not fantastic it was great. I think if I was to cellar the 2007 another 7-10 yrs this is where they would be. With that said I would drink the 2007 reasonably soon if you like big tannic wines. Not typically of the …

Deeply-colored purple-black in glass, with enticing aromas of black fruit, smoke and leather. Palate shows rich, still bright fruit flavors of blackberry, cassis, a touch of black cherry and layered with notes of leather, tobacco and dark chocolate, in a creamy texture that leads to a long, lip-smacking finish. The richness is nicely balanced with silky, sweet tannins as well. Delicious, and consistent across two bottles from the cellar.

Dark, dark purple. Blueberry juice with meat juices on the nose. I left this on the counter-top overnight because I wanted to be certain it was properly aired as compared to the rather quick pour of the last bottle. It is not drinking as well as that bottle did, suggesting that I erred too much on the side of caution with this wine. 90 minutes would seem to be the ideal period. Thick and chewy, with the same blueberry juice …

Full bodied, moderate tannins, with dark black cherry, cassis, and smoke. Excellent example of a Napa Cab that's full throttle without being over-extracted. Great nose, with the blackberry really showing along with the graphite. Drinking beautifully now, but has a long life ahead of it.

A lot less tanic than its 2006 counterpart. Had way more fruit than the 2006 and those flavors consisted of dark fruit, cinnamon, and other berry characteristics. This was a softer, more supple cab. I think this has better potential than the previous vintage, as it appears to be holding on to its fruit while not getting overly tanic.

Big cab with dark fruit and strong tannin. Some black pepper in the finish. Decanted for an hour. Two hours would have been better. Should age well for another 10 years.

Violet at the edges and midnight purple otherwise. A nose of cotton candy that is strong at first but fades with time, cinnamon and spiciness, deep blackberry. Notes of deep, dark blackberry, mildly sweet, with strong black pepper and very light tar and coffee at the edges. This is really intense and clearly in its infancy. It provides enormous enjoyment now but will probably hit its stride 8-12 years from now and drink well for another 10 after that. Long, …

Solid cab, but nothing special. Glad we tried this and 2006 from WTSO, but liked the 2009 regular Clos Pegase cab just as well, especially at $20 vs $40 for QPR. The 2007 was a touch rounder, fuller than 2006. I liked it, but would probably not buy again at $40, especially if I can get the 2009.

Popped this after a 2001 Rioja, which was to be the wine for the evening was but was disappointing so we switched to the Clos Pegase. Really solid producer and this was a classic Cab with nice mouthfeel that paired well with rib-eye steak. Would have given it another point or two but found a bit of green bell pepper, which Cabernet is prone to that distracts from the experience. At $40 from WTSO this was a fair price though.
