Remoissenet Pere et Fils Charmes-Chambertin

Shows some bret on the nose but lots of autumnal scents of smoke and soil with hoisin sauce mixed with brown sugar dustings and aging cherry. Antique furntiure/wood scents with cabinet spice. integrated structure and very delicate for many 90s I have tasted lastely. Very elegant showing today. Drinking well at the moment.

The aroma of this wine changed a lot in glass. Initially earthy with a bit a sulfur, it blew off with some air to show really nice red fruit. Obviously old smelling. The palate shows great flavors of old cherries, pie cherries and baking spice, truffle. The tannins and acid were in a wonderful place today, showing great balance and integration.
