Medium-bodied red. Aromatic, spicey nose. Good structure, tannic, a little astringent. Solid finish.

Wonderful smooth full flavor merlot. Has years to go.

Beautiful merlot, reaching end of life, maybe another year or two, then it will be turning enough to have weak port flavors.

This wine was wonderful and a great accompaniment to the flank steak dinner. Soft and refined this wine is in a great place if you enjoy more aged reds with less tannins as I do. A very nice wine from this winery that is a little hit and miss for me. I guess I forgot to wait a couple years and drank this last bottle too soon per my previous comments. ;-)

This wine only seems to be improving with age. It is in a great place right now but still no hurry to drink up. It will go another few years. I have one bottle left. I'll try to wait another couple years and see where we are then. Decant for min of 30 min.

Nice dark garnet in color. Large beautiful legs. Blackberry, cocoa, cedar and cigar box on the nose. Subdued blackbery on the front with layers of cocao, tree nuts and finishes with an earthy, oak and slight mushroom finish. I like the old world style and for me is at a very nice drinking age. Not a real "BIG" Merlot so it should be very approachable for even the non-distinguished wine drinker. Forget people that "don't like Merot"; I'll drink this …

Decanted for an hour. Lighter on the palate then I expected compared to other Merlots of Napa Valley. Otherwise good.

Balanced, rich, good finish, but a bit over the top and lacking a theme, to my taste. I prefer earthier wines, but this one is good for the price.

garnet with a little brick on the edge. Notes of cherry and menthol. Cherry and spice through the palate to a drying finish.

- Brick color with medium forming legs and aromas of blackberry and has flavours of black currant with a light/medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish.

Muted nose leading to a soft, light weight Merlot with no exceptional nuances. A somewhat brief finish with acidic astringency. There are certainly better Merlots at this price point.

Unfortunately, I'm writing this note a month after the tasting so I can't recall the details. But I was definately a bit disappointed. It was solid, but my expectations were higher. It didn't really distinguish itself.

Nearly corked, but only suffered on the nose. Still a well-balanced wine with prominent notes of green pepper

A lighter weight Merlot. Nice cherry flavor. Alcohol burning taste ruined it for me. I was disappointed. For an everyday wine, prefer Markham Merlot for about half the price.

Nice deep color which compliments the deep berry nose. The wine is rich and complex with light tannins which work well with the dark fruit and deep berry tones. Nice medium finish.

AHA Hearts Delight - USA Wine Tasting : Not a favorite for me. A nice higher end average merlot. 87 may be too high. A fruity nose and in the forefront of the palate.

Not as refined as the 03 and 04 Peju Merlots I have had recently. Will benefit from a few more years. Still, a very pleasant wine that paired well with a hickory-smoked, bone-in ribeye steak.

Opaque ruby color, it appears "thick" and seems so on the palate as well. Mostly black fruit with some plum, cherry, and cocoa notes. Oak is moderate but in good balance with this plush textured wine. Nice surprise sent out by Vino Volo wine club.

Stocking Stuffers (Farpointe Cellar) : Tobacco and blackberry on the nose, with cherry and dark chocolate underneath, and some mint at the end. Red and black fruit on the palate, with chocolate and leather on the mid-palate, and some mint on the finish.
