Still tasting great !! Near perfect cork after a dozen years in the bottle , easily removed. Consumed over two days. Dark burgundy color with little to no oxidation. This nicely balanced Pinot Noir displays varietal accuracy. Perfumed aromas of pomegranate and rose hips, flavors of red fruit compote, rhubarb, and marine soil with a hint of forest floor and a pleasant medium to long finish. Great fruit from the Velvet Sisters Vineyard in the Anderson Valley in Mendocino County. …

Aromatics of red cherry pie, cherry craisins and decaying mushrooms. A bit on the flabby side, softest tannins and juicy sweet red fruit have only the slightest acidity to offset. Has gained sweetness and softness in maturity. Very clean, just a bit unexciting.

Porty, over the top and too extracted with cherry-like fruit and a smoky layer but nothing else really. Palate still more or less intact, but not much fun.

Rich, deep, black cheery fruit with earthy savoriness, a light dusting of tannins remain and gorgeously long finish. Very much looking forward to hitting the cellar for the 2013 (must be patient ;-).

Solid tannin, some cherry- very solid.

Really enjoyed this today. Beautiful balance. Rich dark and red fruits, acid, elegant mouthfeel. Perfect with turkey dinner.

A rather rich, darked fruited pinot--a lot going on here. Much potential if aged a couple more years or so.
