Home at Vassaltis (Vassaltis Home, Athens) : Our favourite of the their cuvées and once again did not fail. Light reductive, flinty on nose, bright and full of energy and really at the start of its drinking window and will remain here for another decade at minimum. Soft waxy texture too albeit less in 2023 than other vintages and a very elegant and classy wine as ever. Solid 93

MyCava portfolio tasting (Bankeion hotel) : The wine shows very rich profile, citrus ripe and overripe, some candied notes too. The wine shows some savoury notes. The wine shows a very rich salty profile, citrus, some candied citrus notes, very briney, full body, high acidity, mineral, long finish. Give it time

Benchmark, straight down the line Santorini - all the salted lemon, sea spray, ripe and broad shouldered goodness you could want in a wine. Lots of structure and depth but showing restraint on the alcohol and ripeness - this is just in the zone for me - and no messing about with late harvests or, god forbid, oak.

Diamond Importers Greece Trip May 2025; 5/2/2025-5/11/2025 (Greece) : Much more mineral and chalky aromas than either of the baseline Assyrtiko we just enjoyed. This isn’t from the same site every year, it’s tailored to the vintage, but always from a single site. Exotic peppercorn, and finding a little more extract here than the last wines. TK notes ‘loquat.’ 6am pick, to get this into the press cold by 8/8:30. This wine is f****** Chablis-y, ‘acid, mineral, salinity.’
