wow, very interesting morgon. at first the most tannic I have had, even with 10 years. after a couple hours it softened and an interesting balance of fruit, minerality and othe rcomplexities emerged. one of the most interesting Morgon's I have tried, and very different than the other Bouland Morgon I had a while back.

Started really off with lots of VA and a nose very unbalanced. The fist palate was quite tannic with little fruit. But after a short decant this because very nice. The fruit came out and this aged quite well afterall. Quite impressed with this wine and this producer I am new to.

Think this is pretty close to peak but should stay there for many many years. Just delicious now.

Very suave and balanced wine. Black fruit with a nice vegetal cool breeze. Again a top product from this talented guy

Fruit driven nose. Strawberries with some floral notes. In the mouth very smooth and soft, with some fine grained tannins perceivable at the end.

medium purple. Creamy berry, chalky minerality, whiffs of flowers and black pepper. Ripe, round, juicy but structured with energetic acidity, and fine tannins. Nice drive

dark purple. floral, fruit syrup nose. clean fresh purple furit flavours, silky, well concentrated. Good, not great acid. Medium length finish. I suppose this might last, but why wait?

Decanted at Aubergine. Biggest Morgon ever, afaik. Good, but is this Morgon? 14.5%

Round, mouth coating, "primeval" energy; creamy, soft, berry bomb (like a zin beaujo, but really well done); what a complete contrat to the Fleurie.

Full-bodied and ultimately chiseled, this is a true age-worthy Morgon. Long and flowing, with fresh red berries, thyme, lavender and gravel pit. Through the body and forthright aspects, this is a mere infant. Drink 2019 - 2032.
