My second to last bottle And as the most recent reviewer said it great to be rewarded for holding a bottle Slight bricking soft nose This doesn’t have the bright strawberry and cherry typical if BF But soft and muted fruit with hints of cherries Really great!

Drinking reasonably well at the moment. no significant bricking. The nose is quite lovely, strawberry, cherry and generous. The palate is more loaded on the front end with red fruits/black cherry at the forefront. There is a fair amount of earthiness and the palate does drop off sooner than expected and ends slightly astringent. I think this can definitely age a bit more and I'd hold another year or two to see where this goes. My first and last bottle …

very light translucent bright mixed in with brown delghtlful nose fresh strawberries and cherry but distinctly aged smooth and forward hasnet lost its great presence little disapoinitn on the finish. overall this wine is doing great for its vintage was tasted next to the 2004 (an outstanding bottle)which made for a tough comparison

Deep purple for a PN, beautiful savory bouquet on the nose, complex and savory on the palate. Some primary fruit remaining, but mostly evolved into spicy, earthy notes. Just a wonderful Pinot in a great spot. If you prefer a little fruitier on the entry, you probably shouldn't hold onto this one for much longer.

ABV 14.2%, 0.7% above my preferred upper bound for Pinot Noir. Just like ‘07 vintage, this showed typical Burgundy nose rather than New world nose. Clean and floral with just enough stemmy notes to keep it interesting, very nice. Tannins mostly softened, spicy on entry and some heat at backend, not good. Finished with dark soils and oaks lingering on, still very Burgundian. Decent wine but the high ABV messed up everything, nowhere near the wonderful ‘07 vintage. A producer …

Greatly enjoyed this, and 9 years is a lot longer than I'd age most New World Pinot, but I'm not sure it's really getting BETTER. Tannin is resolved, fruit has some nice tertiary, but it's absolutely not riding a Burgundian aging curve.

From a double magnum, purchased on release from winery. Cork extracted itself in one piece. Shockingly dark color, much much darker than .750. On opening, nose is oddly familiar however not in association with wine, beef stew, baked pie crust? Fresh mid weight fruit accentuated by lively fresh fruit acid. The acid balances the baked notes in a 20 year old Pinot. The fruit is generous the pure Pinot taste so rarely encountered in many American Pinots. The baked element …

Earthy aromatics, full of wild cherries, dark raspberries, toast, and spices. The palate is sultry and expressive, open and energetic, very sinuous, a touch of smoke, its silky texture marries perfectly with mouth-tingling spices from the warmth of the wood. So much depth and complexity, showing structural grip but evolves to perfect integration with 2 hours of air. Closes with a streak of bright, cherry cola on the wonderfully long and perfectly harmonious finish. Absolutely delicious.

It is always fun to be rewarded for holding wines that drink well beyond their typical drinking windows. I was concerned when I pulled this from the cellar as it looked brown in the bottle, but the color was appropriate with a slight rim variation. More earth and dried herbs than fruit but was fantastic with the braised chicken thighs.

This is really good. Drinking it while making dinner. Floral cherry beauty. Cherry, cherry pits, tobacco, cola, double bubble (but in a good way), leather. Nice acidity, light tannins

Nose extrudes a dead animals prisoned in a cask. This too shall pass. Sweet fruit almost fresh just turned to Sherry no longer a drinking wine not yet a Sherry. I asked myself how many times through the ages have men tasted such? Did they rejoice and keep drinking? Did they revulse and spew invectives? Likely, both and more, I've tasted many younger wines with less fruit and more faults, which does not add anything to the taste.

Some browning, some well mild rubber on the nose, sweet delicate strawberry showing or celebrating its age, subject to your taste preferences. Alongside a young 2020 Javillier Savigny Serpentieres- close to perfection- family resemblance apparent, sweet Pinot fruit affinity. Prefer not to score a sweet old survivor who's aged better than me.

A lot better than the last bottle I had a year ago. This is still fruit forward but does not feel as stewed as the last one. There's more freshness. Very modern in style though.

Fruit driven nose with darker toned flavors. Good acidity with ripe fruit on the palate and nice finish. A very well made Oregon Pinot, but I missed something that stands out and keeps you interested. It's just feels a bit "generic", at least in this early stage. 92+

My first of three bottles. Tasted semi-blind at Bill & Albert's "Terroir" Dinner Tasting at Cafe Mangal. Slightly more than one hour in a decanter. Served in an old world v. new world flight of pinot noirs, with the 1992 Claude Dugat Gevry-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques (95+ and the wine of the flight), the 1996 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir Hirsch Vineyard, and (also brought by me) the 2015 Domaine Bryczek Morey St. Denis "Clos Solon." Chalky nose reminiscent of a high quality pommard, though not overtly mineralky. First sniffs —> ripe red raspberry, red cherry, crushed chalk. After an hour, lush and bright, cranberry coming to play—rounding out the complete red fruit palette. After 90 mins, noticing a hint of green (potentially green pepper?) and toasted oak, even chocolate; eventually, a smattering of dried Turkish figs. Textural palate — even crunchy — red berries, almost a cooling sensation, a coulis of sorts, raspberry (haven’t been …

I am with reviewers who score this on the high side. Decanted for an hour. This has notes of cacao, strawberry coulis, honey, and dark molasses. Lingers on the palate with roasted red pepper and grilled fat accents. Fruit and earth in balance. A very good wine.

Medium plus red color with a 5mm bricked edge. PNP, drank a couple glasses over 2 hours plus and a glass the following night. Its been 5 years since my last bottle when I said this has years left. To me, this is a PN typical of the Willamette valley: somewhere between CA and Burgundy. Cherries and red plums; a tad medicinal. Think cherry cough drops. Fresh green herbs (sage and celery greens), orange peel, dirt/earth, apple with a saline quality. Medium bodied with medium + acid. Juicy. Can drink now; but should pick up interesting tertiary flavors with a couple more years in bottle. It really depends on how juicy/primary you like your Pinot.

Dark crimson with slight bricking around the edges. Very Vosne like on the nose showing violets, sandalwood, cinnamon, dark red berries and forest floor. A perfectly balanced and silky palate shows sweet & sour dark red berries, medium acidity, lots of inner mouth perfume and a long wood/baking spice tinged finish. This has aged very well indeed.

Shared by a friend; super ripe red fruits, leaning towards cherry and raspberry coulis or jam; there is a hint of baking spice and earth, and a slightly dried lilac note. Shows the warmth of the vintage in the ripeness of the fruit, but the palate remains balanced and delicious with a long fruit filled finish. Probably about at peak right now.
