Pale Ruby. Aromas of strawberry, earth, and light spices. The palate features red fruits such as raspberry, cherry, strawberry, and cranberry. The wine is balanced, light bodied, dry...and deceptively drinkable.

This is a robustly oak-driven and fruity red, full bodied and densely packed in tannin and black-cherry jam. Herbal elements ride beneath the richness, adding a bit of lasting tartness. -Virginie Boone, Aug 2020 Reviewed by: The Wine Enthusiast - 88 pts

Pale garnet Nose: potpourri, rose petal, potting soil. Juicy black cherry and dried raspberry flavors come through met with rooobos tea notes and a long line of bitter rose stem. Ends up feeling taught overall, but with excellent tension in the end. Overall: Both juicy and drawn at the same time, this is resonant and has good character, and the finish is much much longer than expected. Distinctive and well crafted. Drink now - 2028. 91.

LOVED it! Big Cherry, Cola and spice. Great nose with some smoke. Has an almost creamy finish, slight sweetness and spice (nutmeg?). Right in my wheelhouse!

So easy to drink. Lots of fruit, low tannin, mid alcohol, mid-low acid.

An almost perfect Carneros Pinot nose of strawberries, roses, and just picked cherries. Nice mid palette of earthy bramble and forest floor. A hint of vanilla on the long finish. Should benefit from two or three years of celery which should round out the mid pallet and the finish but even today it’s really lovely and a wonderful expression of Carneros Pinot Noir. Well done. A LastBottle offering served with pan seared salmon fillet.

More of a darker, medium body Pinot in the glass. Mainly dark fruit, with a hint of cherry and earth on the nose. Plum, blueberry, bing cherry, cola, and lots of bright acid, light cedar finish. Overall very good. Pairs with a very wide variety of foods. Very Cali Pinot- so if you like fruit forward, young, bright, Pinot, you will enjoy this. If you are more of an old world, traditional style Pinot fan, this will be something a …

Retail $38. Carneros has quickly become a flashpoint. Once the epicenter of cool-climate Pinot Noir, it has increasingly become hotter and less hospitable for my favorite variety. While a few Pinot producers have pulled out of the appellation, the Frank Family remains, fighting the necessary fight. Nearly translucent, but still decidedly dark in color, the aromas follow this model. Dark, on the verge of brooding, with notes of plum, cassis, and spice. The palate is initially chockful of dark berry …

Virtual tasting with Rich & Leslie Frank along with winemaker Todd Graff. The wine is very aromatic with cherry and a sweet cola nose. In mouth the wine is sweet with slightly rotted strawberry and cherry notes dominating. The backdrop is the tremendous amount of acidity present on this wine. Nearly out of control. The finish reminds you that while it has lively acidty, it's the creaminess that you will remember. For me that is the take away. Though not …

Medium ruby color. Aromas of juicy black cherries, raspberries, candied apple, with cola, sweet roses and coffee. Full-bodied, smooth but chewy tannins with fresh acidity and a fun, juicy feel with raspberries and black cherry fruit. Notes of cola, coffee, sweet roses and root beer add some complexity. Fun, accessible, early-drinking style. Aged 10 months in 1/3 new French oak.
