Domaine Billard Pere et Fils Auxey-Duresses Rouge

Bright ruby red. Fascinating aromatics showing fresh red fruit along with a notable black pepper element. Full bodied and fruit driven. Layers of fresh red berries attack the palate in waves. This drinks unbelievably fresh and pure. The back of the palate is a display of much more tart fruit, think cranberry. This is well balanced with a firm acidic spine, but does not show much tannic strucuture. Long, clean finish.
