robust genre of Ore Pinot, at 9 yrs old, lost it's fruit sugar and some acidity, but still wonderful with black cherry, earth, and graphite notes

Exotic, rich, fragrant, very full and concentrated, nice dark fruit, still lively unlike some 09s which seem to be going flabby.

Well-balanced. A bit austere, but the acidity marries beautifully with food.

Rich and elegant but very soft. Luscious saturated red and black fruit. If not for the softness would have rated it more highly. Almost flabby.

Keeps getting better which seems typical of this producer. Very solid.

A strong, muscular wine with exotica. A heady nose of black cherry, mint, camphor, and herbs, the palate develops into a lush combination of more dark fruits, and follows the nose through with just a hint of (over?)ripeness on the finish. A beautiful mouthful that I couldn't stop drinking.

Wow! Definitely aged well since the tasting in 2011. Very assertive and complex for an Oregon pinot, the fruit is very well integrated with Eucalyptus, green peppercorn and smoke. Just as good and dynamic on the second day. Going to look for more from this vineyard from Lemelson.

Very nice OR Pinot Noir that got significantly better with time in glass and opened bottle. Well crafted red and blue fruits with an anise sweetness touch. Keep remaining bottles cellared for 2-3+ years.

Darker ruby with purple highlights in the glass. Nose of blue fruits and light brown sugar, there is also a detectable high toned licorice note present. Medium to full bodied, medium acid, medium plus tannin, noticeable alcohol that detracts from the blue fruit, and sugar that shows up on the palate. There is a touch of spice, but even that is laced with alcohol. Originally purchased as it showed well at the tasting shortly after bottling, now it seems on …

Dark ruby color with great clarity. High toned red fruits on the nose with some cedar and forest floor notes. Juicy, red fruit driven palate with spice cake and some minerality on the back end. Medium+ acid with silky tannins and a really smooth mouthfeel and finish. Medium bodied. This was a really great Oregon pinot and is in that sweet spot for my palate lately.

Ouch! This needs more time in the bottle. DOn't drink until 2014 or after.

Much more exhuberant and up front than the Single Vineyards. Lush and big. The palate is more graceful than I originally expected from the nose, but it's still lacking some of the structural balance of the single vineyards. Much larger fruits here, and feels extracted. Good spice on the finish, and it tastes almost like Peeps (sugar coated marshmallows). This is very juicy and large, and again, doesn't feel as well structured as the others. Heavy extract and noticeable alcohol …

Too tight to get much at this point. Needs years, but all the basics are here to be very good.
