Georges Duboeuf Moulin-à-Vent Domaine des Rosiers

Earthy and red notes on the nose; plenty of acidity, reminded me of a Lirac I enjoyed 10 years ago. Great food wine and can also stand on its own. Bought last 3 bottles in store and would buy more if available.

A friend of mine shared this wine with me (6/3/2015)... very nice for those who enjoy something that is a little lighter on the palette (like my wife's friends). I ordered a half case for such occasions. A very pleasant and enjoyable Gamay.

Light, with earthy notes and young gamay flavors. Lacked depth and concentration, so came across as very light and didn't change even on the second evening. Still, the flavors were really nice for my palate and I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Color is dark garnet to the rim. On the nose, juicy red fruit with a hint of a candied quality and an ever-so-mild herbal undertone. Juicy dark fruit attacks on the front of the palate framed by sufficient acidity and fairly fine tannins. Palate remains a bit unresolved, but a decent wine nonetheless.
