Bruno Desaunay-Bissey Gevrey-Chambertin

The nose has the sweet, intoxicating perfume of the vintage with squished up strawberries, cherries and raspberries along with a little cedar and smoked meats. In the mouth the fruit is vibrant and youthful and there’s a blast of sour cherry volatile acidity. All the elements are here for a very nice village wine but the finish is just a tad disappointing thanks to some overly astringent wood tannins.
