Bodega Pierce Sauvignon Blanc Rolling View Vineyard

First AZ sauv blanc. Quite a bit more golden in color than examples from other regions. Nose of gooseberry and guava with some citrus and a touch of smoky minerality (perhaps a bit reductive?). On the palate, it’s pretty weighty compared to Loire. Pineapples and a just a hint of grassiness. At just slightly below room temp, there’s an awkward bitterness in the finish but as the wine cooled down it became less pronounced. Overall, better than I expected but …
