Similar to a recent bottle of the 85. There's not enough of the red cherry fruit left to stand up to the remaining structure, which is earthy and bitter and drying. Should have been drunk years ago.

Vertical Tasting of Joseph Swan from 1974-1986 : 7th place group - my 6th. Slightly dirtied than the others. Palate is much lighter than others. Not the power or concentration of the others.
