Lovely nose - clove, pepper, cedar, dark fruit. On the palate, light, fine-grained tannins, low-medum acid. Smells great but just doesn't deliver much on the palate - as with so many of these promising-at-first Virginia wines, it doesn't have enough to carry it through the palate. 13.4%, $26. + (good)

Crimson red. Light fruity notes with possibly dry grass. Seems to start like this could be a good wine from VA, but then completely dies off and goes watery. Short finish almost no tannins and body. Nothing to really remember or think about again.
